(March 8, 2017) — Caruso, one of the largest, privately held real estate development and hospitality companies in the U.S., announced today the appointment of Reza Safavi to its Development team as Senior Vice President of Project Management. In his role, Mr. Safavi will be responsible for defining performance expectations and key project areas including; scope, budget, schedule, quality and risk management for multiple projects, including the upcoming developments Rosewood Miramar Beach Montecito and Palisades Village.

Mr. Safavi joins Caruso from Taslimi Construction, where he worked for 25 years. His recent work has included award-winning projects such as the 240,000 square foot Creative Artists Agency offices; the complete renovation of The Beverly Hilton Hotel; CBRE’s west coast headquarters in downtown Los Angeles; the complete building and interior renovation of the Disney Animation Studios in Burbank; Legendary Entertainment‘s Burbank headquarters consisting of 90,000 square feet of offices, screening rooms, and other facilities; the headquarters for Sony Music in the iconic I.M. Pei office building in Beverly Hills; and the executive headquarters for the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in Beverly Hills.

Mr. Safavi earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Building Science, Architecture and Civil Engineering from the University of Southern California and has been an associate member of the American Institute of Architects, as well as a member of the Americana Society of Civil Engineers.
