From the beginning, we have worked to ensure our award-winning Miramar Resort® property benefits the entire community. Now, five years after opening our doors, we have identified new opportunities to enhance The Miramar®. Hundreds of neighbors, Montecito leaders and others have generously given time to share ideas and help shape our plan for the future.
We received unanimous approvals from both the Santa Barbara County Planning Commission and the Santa Barbara County Board of Supervisors to add eight new resort apartments, 12 new resort shops and a café and 26 affordable employee apartments. The resort apartments offer a new way for guests to experience the Montecito lifestyle at our Miramar Resort while the shops and café elevate the experience of resort guests and local patrons alike.
Combining the evolving needs of our guests and the desires of the Montecito residents with our understanding of the challenge our employees face finding housing within the community, our proposed affordable housing plan is designed to fit seamlessly into the fabric of the existing resort.
