Tis the season for shopping venues to deck their halls. Many are having celebrations to mark the beginning of the holidays. Among the events coming up in the next few days:
The Christmas tree lighting at the Grove is an entertainment spectacular. This year’s event, scheduled from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. on Sunday, is to feature performances by Mary J. Blige, Toni Braxton, Cee Lo Green, Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds, Gavin Degraw, Jewel and Il Volo. Nancy O’Dell is scheduled to host. The event is sponsored by Citi with support from Cadillac, Good Earth, Mammoth Mountain Ski Area and “The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug.” Events are planned for the Town Square area of the Grove, which is at 189 the Grove Drive, Los Angeles.
