Last
night, more that 200 loyal Racked readers gathered at The Grove´s Pacific
Theatres to experience the worldwide phenomenon that is Fifty Shades of Grey
via our very own private screening. What could have been a totally awkward
experience watching graphic sex scenes with strangers actually turned out to be
a lot of fun, thanks to a refreshingly giddy crowd that whistled, laughed, and
clapped throughout the show. #Rackedx50Shades felt like one big girls´ night
out, complete with an appearance by our go-to celebrity sexologist Emily Morse
and her Loveline co-star/silver fox Dr. Drew Pinsky.
The
fun didn´t stop there. Prior to the 8:30pm show (which readers started lining
up for at 5pm!), we hosted a VIP cocktail hour with Morse, where bloggers,
stylists, America´s Next Top Model stars (hey, Kari Michelle), and more talents
enjoyed gratis Priv manicures, Fifty Shades-themed wine, and gratuitous sex
advice. (Valentine´s Day is tomorrow, after all.)
While
VIPs enjoyed a few extra perks, we definitely didn´t leave our general admission
readers in the dust; every single one of them received complimentary popcorn,
soda, parking, and a box of Fifty Shades-inspired OPI nail polishes. Thanks for
