Set those alarms: The famed Shackburger officially lands in
Glendale on Friday, Sept. 23, 2016 at 11 AM. The second Shake Shack location
for the West Coast, one of many to come, debuts across from The Americana at
Brand in the same complex as Mainland Poke, Philz Coffee and soon another
Egglsut. Will this new location garner as many lines as the West Hollywood one
when it opened the burger gates? There´s a good chance that yes, yes it will.
Even with an In-N-Out nearby.
Like the West Hollywood location, all of Shake Shack´s
greatest hits will be on offer: the regular burger you can get dolled up with
cheese, lettuce, tomato or bacon; the Shackburger, a cheeseburger with lettuce,
tomato and ShackSauce, a creamy, mayo-ketchup-mustard-spice blend; the
SmokeShack, a cheeseburger topped with all-natural applewood-smoked bacon and
chopped spicy cherry peppers; the ‘Shroom burger, an oozy, cheese-filled and
fried mushroom patty; and the new Chick’n Shack, an excellent fried chicken
sandwich with lettuce, pickles and herbed mayo (grab a bottle of hot sauce from
the condiment counter; a few dashes do it right). There are also hot dogs and
crinkle-cut fries, signature items. The LA-specific Roadside Double will be on
the menu, as well as frozen custard concretes made with locally sourced
ingredients, including things from Larder Baking Co., Sqirl and Nicole Rucker
donuts from Cofax. Hours will be 11 AM–11:30 PM daily.
