As promised, the fourth U.S. and third LA location of the famed Din Tai Fung dumpling house opens on Monday, November 4, at the Americana at Brand in Glendale. Sitting pretty right next to the new Nordstrom, the space is open and airy, with patterned wood screens, floor-to-ceiling glass walls, a main dining room and bar. You’ll find it all there – the juicy pork dumplings, the pork shao mai, Shanghai rice cakes with chicken and shrimp, and one of our personal favorites, the tofu and seaweed salad. You’ll also find truffle dumplings, something exclusive to this location, and a full bar and cocktail program, the first for its U.S. locations. That means Asian-style cocktails, beer, sake and wine, plus boba and slushies for the non-boozers. The restaurant opens for lunch and dinner Monday through Friday, 11 AM-10 PM, Saturday 10 AM-10 PM, and Sunday 10 AM-9 PM.
