Nordstrom celebrated its new location at The Americana at Brand in Glendale with a gala benefiting Ascencia and Hillsides on September 17, 2013. Honorary gala chair Nicole Richie hosted the event. Ascencia works to offer housing programs to over 1,200 homeless persons in the Glendale community each year and will put the proceeds toward their 40-bed shelter. Hillsides, the Pasadena-based organization offering advocacy to at-risk children, will use the proceeds for its art programs.
