Almost one year after the move was announced, United Kingdom retailer Topshop will open its highly anticipated West Coast flagship at high-profile Los Angeles retail center The Grove at 3 p.m. on Feb. 14.
Topshop will take its bow with a gala “British street party” with live music in front of its new LA home, a two-story, 30,000-square-foot flagship on the corner of The Grove’s First Street and Gilmore Way, in a space that formerly housed a Banana Republic store.
Topshop already runs self-named emporiums in New York, Chicago and Las Vegas, as well as Topshop departments at 15 Nordstrom stores. The Grove store will be the fast-fashion chain’s first in California, said Sir Phillip Green, Topshop’s chief.
“Los Angeles is a particularly exciting opening for Topshop and Topman. I am confident that we will deliver unique and authoritative British fashion to the many customers who are already fans of the brands, whilst giving many others the chance to try us out for the first time,” he said in a prepared statement.
The new store will offer the U.K. retailer’s Topshop women’s brand and Topman line for men. Clothes to be offered include Unique, Topshop’s seasonal London Fashion Week collection; Topshop x J.W. Anderson; Leigh jeans; and the Lux line, which will be introduced in Los Angeles before it is sold at other Topshop stores across the world.
