THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. – The first Ventura County location of the Los Angeles-based chain 9021Pho will be the site of a ribbon cutting at 4:30 p.m. Thursday in Thousand Oaks.
Named for the ZIP code of its first location in Beverly Hills, the restaurant founded by chef Kimmy Tang specializes in putting California twists on such traditional Vietnamese dishes as banh mi sandwiches and the noodle soup known as pho.
The chain“s location at The Lakes at Thousand Oaks had a soft opening on Monday. It features a full bar and lakeside patio seating for more than 40 people.
The restaurant“s grand opening from 7-9 p.m. Aug. 27 will be open to the public but requires reservations. To attend, send email to rsvp@9021Pho.com.
In addition to the original site on Beverly Drive, 9021Pho also has restaurants in Glendale, Sherman Oaks and West Hollywood. Its Westlake Village site closed in April to make the move to Thousand Oaks.
