Queuing up for the next It thing might seem sooo gauche to Barneys´ big money clientele, but all bets are off when a Big Apple-approved confection craze is involved. For one day only, fashion´s favorite and oft-imitated flakey pastry, the Cronut®, is popping up for the very first time outside of New York at The Grove—and given LA´s sweet tooth for knock-offs of the croissant/doughnut hybrid, we expect the scene to be, well, totally insane.

This Saturday from 10am to 2pm (or until the sweet supplies last), NYC-based Cronut creator Dominique Ansel and his team of bakery elves will be dishing out Milk & Honey-flavored desserts for $5 a pop at the luxury department store. Per our sister site Eater, the fried sugary concoctions (as seen above) will be “[topped] with a Tahitian vanilla milk ganache, honey jam and lavender sugar,” and proceeds benefit non profit org Heart of Los Angeles. See you there?
