We´ve seen an amazing group of newcomers appear around the Los Angeles dining scene over the last six months. From local high-profile chefs making a splash with new concepts in storied old spaces, to New York hipsters landing on Broadway downtown and a Top Chef Masters judge proving his real culinary chops in Beverly Hills – it seems like something exciting opens every other day. It´s almost impossible to keep up. Still, here´s an updated list of the hottest, newest restaurants on the scene right now. We can´t wait to see what the rest of the year has in store.

Din Tai Fung Glendale

Why It’s Hot: The second location of the famed soup dumpling house lands at Americana at Brand. It’s just as busy, but at least there are boozy cocktails to make it more tolerable.

Must Order: Juicy pork dumplings are always the best, but you can only get the black truffle soup dumplings at this location ($25).

Insider Tip: The ultimate hour is right before 5 PM, otherwise there’s a wait for a table. If you can, sit at the bar where there´s no wait – no one really knows about it.
