Real estate developer – Rick Caruso, the man who brought the Grove to L.A.´s Farmers Market and the Americana to Glendale, has expanded his maxi-mall empire to Sin City with the Linq, a $550 million entertainment/shopping promenade. “There are a lot of things in Las Vegas, but everything comes to an inside format,” says the namesake CEO of Caruso Affiliated. “We wanted to break out and do something completely different.” The High Roller, one of the Linq´s landmarks, is the largest observation wheel of its kind. The adjacent Linq Hotel & Casino will open Oct. 30. “There are so many touch points you can enjoy,” he says. “You can always go back and have a different experience.” — Sebastian Torrelio
