SIGNING ON: Shopping center owner and developer
Caruso Affiliated has tapped Kloe Colacarro to oversee leasing and
merchandising across its property portfolio. The Los Angeles-based real estate
company’s staple includes The Grove, The Americana at Brand and The Commons at
Calabasas in addition to proposed projects such as Palisades Village.

Colacarro, now head of leasing and reporting directly to
founder and chief executive officer Rick Caruso, joined the company in
2009 and has worn a number of hats since then, including Americana at Brand
project manager and most recently Grove general manager.

Her time managing the Grove saw the launch of an app for
shoppers and the introduction of fast-growing e-tailer Revolve’s first offline
endeavor via a pop-up shop that recently completed its run. “We’re really
interested in staying at the forefront of that click-to-brick trend,” Colacarro
said. That trend will continue with a pop-up shop selling items done in
collaboration between stationary and gift company Rifle Paper Co.
and Lauren Conrad’s Paper Crown. The store is set to operate during
Valentine’s Day weekend.

Specialty merchants unique to the West or contemporary
brands will be part of the future tenant mix at Palisades Village, according to
Colacarro. She declined to disclose specifics on the project other than to say
the “vibe will be charming, approachable and authentic. It’s a lot of
first-to-market concepts, but really everything will be true to the character
of the Palisades.”
