Shake Shack´s Second LA Location Lands in Glendale Across the Americana at Brand

Rejoice, Glendale, because your town just got a thousand percent cooler. Shake Shack, the unstoppable fast-casual burger chain based in New York, is opening its second official Los Angeles-area location in Glendale, across the Americana at Brand next to the former Masonic Temple. Reps confirmed the news today, telling Eater that a late 2016 arrival is expected.

Placed across from one of LA´s busiest shopping districts (and such spots as Bourbon Steak, Din Tai Fung and even Cheesecake Factory), expect Shake Shack to join a bustling dining corridor. Another fun fact: it´ll also be the closest Shake Shack to an In-N-Out Burger, which is down the street about a block away.

That means the comparisons between the two chains will be inevitable, with people taking sides like the Republicans and Democrats in the long struggle to determine which burger chain is better. But Glendale denizens won´t care: having both burgers within a minute of each other is the best possible win imaginable.

Shake Shack´s first LA location is slated for a mid-2016 debut in West Hollywood, and the pretty artwork just around the buildout is already becoming an Instagram destination.
