Mainland Poke hits the Marina, with more locations already in the works

West Third Street´s Mainland Poke has been among the very best poke
shops in the city since first
opening
 more than a
year ago, breaking down fresh fish daily for their pre-formatted and DIY bowls.
Now they´re set to expand into several new locations over the following months.

The company´s Glendale location has been well known
for some time, as the Americana-adjacent property there is planning a big
restaurant rollout that will also include Shake Shack and Eggslut. And now,
almost on the heels of that development, comes a third proposed outlet in
Marina del Rey. The Caruso-owned (The Grove, The Americana) property is located
inside Waterside Marina del Rey, and further helps
cement Mainland owner Ari Kahan´s relationship with the retail real estate
giant.

The new space inside the shopping plaza on
Admiralty Way will provide a good deal more square footage than the West Third
Street original, with an expanded layout that should include more seating as
well. Abramson Teiger Architects is behind the new design, which will target a
mid-fall opening, though signage has just gone up.

Kahan says that a fourth location is also in the
works, though a destination for that outlet has not yet been announced.

Expect the Glendale location to open by the end of summer as well, bringing the
end-of-year Mainland Poke location total to at least three.
