Whether
or not you like the mall, you can always sit on the grass and sip a delicious
coffee granita from the Farmers’ Market

Whatever
your thoughts on The Grove, it’s hard to argue with outdoor summer concerts of
any variety. This July, the Fairfax-area shopping complex that launched a
million feelings is offering up a month-long series featuring some pretty solid
headliners, as well as the always-amazing option to just sit out in the sun and
conduct a very important cupcake tasting with whatever Sprinkles has on the
menu that day. The free concerts happen every Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. in The
Park at the Grove. Here’s the line-up:

Wednesday,
July 6: Plain White T’s

You’ll
remember them from their 2005 hit “Delilah,” the ballad that summed up how
literally everyone feels if they’re involved in a long-distance college
romance.

Wednesday,
July 13: Surprise Performer

TBD!
But going with the theme of superstars from the early aughts, can we all agree
that we hope it’s the Backstreet Boys?

Wednesday,
July 20: Smash Mouth

Interesting
choice here—we don’t know much about what Smash Mouth has been up to, but we
do  know that “All Star” is an
indubitable karaoke crowd-pleaser. If nothing else, the performance should be
good for a solid sing along.

Wednesday,
July 27: Cher Lloyd

The
tatted-up British pop star and former X Factor contestant lent her pipes to
Demi Lovato for the 2013 earworm “Really Don’t Care,” but she is about to
become the singer you can’t get out of your head.
