It’ll be a whirlwind weekend ahead for the U.S. of A. (The inauguration! The Women’s March! NFL Conference Championships!), and you can bet that L.A. is getting involved in each event, despite being thousands of miles away from the epicenter of all the madness.
Here, the local sales and events that will help you either participate in or retreat from the craziness.
Elizabeth and James Supports Women’s March L.A.
Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen’s Elizabeth and James label is selling “Stronger Together” tees at their L.A. store at The Grove, just in time for the Women’s March L.A., taking place downtown at Pershing Square on Saturday. The vintage-wash cotton tee ($95) is exclusive to The Grove store, and from now until Feb. 1, 20 percent of each sale will be donated to the nonprofit Baby2Baby, which provides low-income children with diapers, clothing and other basic necessities.
On its Instagram page, Elizabeth and James encouraged followers to join the conversation using the women’s march hashtags — an out-of-character political move for a brand affiliated with the Olsens, who are notoriously private.
