The Americana at Brand to kicked-off the Year of the Dog on Sunday, February 11, as it hosted its annual Lunar New Year celebration.
The festivities included performances from the Kim Eung Hwa Korean Dance Academy, who has been teaching over 30 years in the Korean American community, along with the Shin Dance Academy, who has been active in the community and has previously performed at many high-profile events. Other performances also included a talented 9-year old drummer, Korean fan dancers and Chinese dancers who will perform with a fusion of martial arts and classical dance technique while using different props such as a sword, fan and umbrella.
