LOS ANGELES — Artwork created in The People Concern’s Studio 526 program is now on display at The Grove.

Studio 526, on Skid Row, has been offering an escape to people experiencing homelessness for years by giving them a chance to express themselves through their artwork, learn or grow their art skills, and try to heal from trauma by creating art.

During last year’s Los Angeles mayoral race, candidate and billionaire developer Rick Caruso visited the studio, and promised the artists he would one day put their art on display at one of his shopping centers, where visitors could purchase the art.

He has now delivered on that promise, and the art will remain on display through Feb. 28.
