New Curated Eateries to Open at 252 S. Brand to Join Burgeoning Brand and Colorado Corridor
LOS ANGELES – May 12, 2016 – Caruso Affiliated, one of the largest, privately held real estate companies in the U.S., announced today it will be opening five new eateries in fall 2016 including Shake Shack, which was previously announced in December 2015, at 252 S. Brand, located at Brand and Colorado Boulevards in Glendale. The other four curated eateries include Eggslut, Greenleaf Gourmet Chopshop, Mainland Poke and Philz Coffee. All five new eateries will be adjacent to The Masonic Temple and across the street from Din Tai Fung, Bourbon Steak by Michael Mina and The Americana at Brand—further transforming this street into a walkable destination.

By welcoming these innovative dining options for residents and visitors alike, Caruso Affiliated has again proven to have a unique understanding of the new energy of Glendale.”
“Glendale has quickly become a mecca for both destination fashion and food concepts. We are excited to welcome these cult-cool, new tenants as the latest additions to Glendale’s downtown district. These tenants further define the city as one of the hippest enclaves of Los Angeles,” stated Kloe Colacarro, head of leasing for Caruso Affiliated.
Each new tenant will bring its signature culinary style to this pedestrian corridor at Brand and Colorado and provide enhanced dining options with a variety of fares:

Shake Shack, Space E – price point: $5-$15
Shake Shack sprouted from a hot dog cart in Madison Square Park in Manhattan to support the Madison Square Park Conservancy’s first art installation. The cart was quite the success, with Shack fans lined up daily for three summers. In 2004, the bid was won to open a permanent kiosk in the Park: Shake Shack was born. A gathering place for the community, this modern day “roadside” burger stand is known for its natural, antibiotic- free Angus beef burgers, chicken (no hormones added ever), flat-top hot dogs, frozen custard, crinkle cut fries, shakes, beer and wine (available at select locations), and more. An instant neighborhood fixture, Shake Shack welcomed people from all over the city, country and world, who gathered together to enjoy fresh, simple, high-quality versions of the classics in a majestic setting. The rest, as they say, is burger history.
