LOS ANGELES, Calif. (April 18, 2018)—On Tuesday evening, Caruso celebrated Andrea Lieberman welcoming her first-ever West Coast flagship, A.L.C., to its newest project, Palisades Village, with a captivating influencer and star-studded evening celebrating both the community and women empowerment.

Hosted by Palisades Village tenants Elyse Walker and Jennifer Meyer, the intimate event welcomed 60 female guests who were treated to a four-course dinner by James Beard Award-winning and fellow tenant Chef Renee Erickson (General Porpoise, Walrus & the Carpenter) followed by desserts from Sweet Laurel Bakery, another addition to the highly anticipated new center of town. The evening was capped off by a surprise performance from MILCK featuring “I Can’t Keep Quiet” and “Amazing Grace.”

On her first West Coast brick-and-mortar location, Lieberman hinted, “The Palisades store will reflect a coastal Californian vibe,” explaining the significance of its location by adding, “it is special because it’s where I live now, with my family—it’s a relaxed yet sophisticated community.”

Joining Lieberman, Meyer and Walker (who is opening a new concept store, towne by elysewalker) in Caruso’s highly curated and vibrant Palisades Village are such female business executives as Hannah Skvarla (The Little Market), Lisa Kraynak (Carbon38), Bethany Mayer (Botanica Bazaar), Leilani Bishop (Botanica Bazaar) and Laurel Gallucci (Sweet Laurel Bakery).

Caruso Founder and CEO, Rick J. Caruso, marveled at the high percentage of female entrepreneurs setting up shop at Palisades Village. Caruso remarked, “As the father of a young business woman, I am inspired by each female opening her doors at Palisades Village. I am honored to be surrounded by such trailblazers, and confident they’ll pave the way for a new generation of female entrepreneurs.”

Other attendees at the Tuesday evening event, which took place at the Caruso family estate included Anine Bing Selma Blair, Jaime King, Minka Kelly, Molly Sims, Maria Shriver, Giada De Laurentiis, Kelly Sawyer Patricof, Marissa Hermer, Emily Current, Meritt Elliott, Norah Weinstein, Petra Flannery, Elizabeth Stewart, Kloe Colacarro (Executive Vice President of Leasing, Caruso) and Mary Fontamillas (Senior Vice President of Communications, Caruso) among others.

Caruso is proud to be opening up Palisades Village on September 22, 2018 with an impressive list of more than 20 businesses led by female business owners, CEOs and designers. Now, more than ever, raising visibility for female-led businesses is critical because there are more women founding businesses than ever before, but women remain under-represented in traditional media. Their contributions to economies as leaders and business owners go unrecognized and through tonight’s special event, Caruso hopes to be part of a tide change.
