For One Day Only, The Grove Will Open Its Famed Street For an Unforgettable “Drive-thru” Lunch and Dinner Experience Benefitting Para Los Niños in a One For One Charitable Initiative

Los Angeles, Calif. (May 16, 2020) – Guests hungry for a change of scenery in a beloved setting are in for a treat, as Caruso opens The Grove’s Main Street to vehicles and welcome visitors from near and far to drive through the property for the first time in its history. For the past 18 years, the property’s iconic trolley has been the only vehicle to drive through its famous streets but this Saturday, May 16, Rosewood Miramar Beach will bring its Miramar To-Go food truck to Los Angeles for a throwback drive-in experience like no other.

Available for “drive-thru” service only, guests will be able to cruise through The Grove Street and take in the property’s bright lights and lively music from a delightfully new perspective. From the familiar smile from The Grove’s trolley conductor to the celebrated Fountain Show, there will be no shortage of magic as guests make their way to the Miramar food truck. Rounding off the experience is Executive Chef Massimo Falsini’s menu of resort favorites served up in true drive-in style. The menu features Hank’s famous Double Diamond burger, tacos, fried chicken sandwiches, salads, and ice cream sandwiches for dessert.  Purest tasting still and sparkling water in flavors such as Sicilian Lemon and Bulgarian Elderflower, provided by Caruso’s official water partner Icelandic Glacial, will also be available for purchase as well as kid’s meals which include a special memento from Rosewood Miramar Beach.

“This pandemic has touched all of us in a profound and significant way and we will forever be changed,” said Rick Caruso, Founder and CEO of Caruso and Owner, Rosewood Miramar Beach. “However, we must never forget to find comfort and joy in the embrace of community, and remind one another that the simple act of putting a smile on a face can make all the difference. On our part, we remain steadfast in our mission to bring people together in new ways and to continue to take care of those most vulnerable in our communities by giving back.”

In keeping with Caruso’s spirit of philanthropy and giving back to the community, for every meal sold during this one-day event, the company will donate a meal to Para Los Niños, a Skid Row-based nonprofit that provides education and wraparound support to over 6,000 of the county’s most vulnerable children and families each year. In the wake of the COVID-19 crisis, Para Los Niños has continued to supply families in need with food, mental health services, and basic necessities. The goal of this day is to feed over 2,500 families in need.

The Miramar Food Truck has been serving the Montecito community throughout COVID-19 crisis. Launched in late March, the #MiramarOnTheMove initiative, has visited several locations throughout Santa Barbara and Los Angeles Counties, providing frontline workers and first responders with complimentary hot meals.  To date, #MiramarOnTheMove has served over 12,000 meals to essential workers and those in need. Most recently, the food truck visited Los Angeles to provide 600 meals to the Weingart Center, a Skid Row based nonprofit agency that provides homeless individuals with the basic skills necessary to stabilize their lives, secure income, and find permanent housing.

Miramar To-Go “Drive-thru” will operate from 12:00pm to 8:00pm at The Grove on May 16th.  For more information, please visit The Grove LA and follow @TheGroveLA on Instagram for updates.
