Coastal California Restaurant on the American Riviera Honored with Coveted One-Star and Green Star Designation

MONTECITO, CALIFORNIA | JUNE 25, 2026 – For the fifth consecutive year Caruso’s, the signature restaurant at Forbes Triple Five-Star resort Rosewood Miramar Beach was honored with a Michelin Star and Michelin Green Star in the June 24 ceremony, placing it among MICHELIN’s esteemed list of restaurants in California, all rated according to the guide’s rigorous standards. Led by Chef-Partner Massimo Falsini and Senior Chef de Cuisine Shibani Mone, the coastal restaurant is celebrated for its unwavering excellence and deep commitment to sustainability.

Perched above the Pacific Ocean on the American Riviera, Caruso’s is inspired by California’s Central Coast, showcasing the highest-quality ingredients sourced from the region’s rich agricultural landscape and local waters. At the helm, Falsini has made it his life’s mission to promote and exemplify the intersection of fine dining and sustainability, partnering with local farmers, fishers, ranchers, and artisans to embody the region’s vibrant landscape.

“We are incredibly proud to have been recognized again by the MICHELIN Guide this year. This recognition is meant to be shared with our local farmers, fishers, and ranchers who support our gastronomic program and its vision towards creating a zero-carbon-footprint restaurant. This award belongs to the team that has worked tirelessly during every service to further the growth of our program to keep Caruso’s among the best restaurants in California.”

MASSIMO FALSINI, CHEF PARTNER, CARUSO’S

In 2026, Caruso’s has continued to deepen its vision to wholly encompass the excellence of Central Coast cooking with sustainability as a focal point. In addition to deep relationships with local producers, Caruso’s grows its own produce on a four-acre plot at Vega Vineyard and Farm. Through partnerships like Ojai-based Zhena Muzyka, Frinj Coffee, and Hawaiian cacao producers, Caruso’s offers hyperlocal tea pairings, California-grown coffee, and house-made chocolate experiences, respectively. In its beverage offerings Caruso’s honors the Central Coast with its renowned Sense of Place wine pairing, focusing on wines produced in Santa Barbara County.

Caruso’s MICHELIN Star and Green Star recognition joins numerous accolades for the celebrated restaurant, including a 2026 Wine Spectator Grand Award and recognition as a 2026 James Beard Award semifinalist for Outstanding Wine and Beverage Program. As underscored by these awards, Rosewood Miramar Beach has earned numerous honors across its signature amenities, including a coveted triple five-star rating on Forbes Travel Guide, a designation awarded to just 16 properties worldwide. Sustainability is a key pillar of the Rosewood experience, and Caruso’s leads by example, as the first restaurant in North America to achieve three stars by the Sustainable Restaurant Association’s Food Made Good Standard. Additionally, chef Massimo Falsini is an Ambassador for Project Zero’s Coral Collective, an organization that works to save coral reefs from extinction.
